Their filing systems weaves together goblin poetry, mnemonic chants, and sauce-stained recipe cards. Lose a book in their library, and it’s gone—unless you bribe them with another, rarer tome.
Codex Goblins form deep, disturbing bonds with their books. They name them. Argue with them. Cradle them like children. Return one out of order and watch as panic spirals into incantations and wild-eyed citations from long-dead legal clauses to execute those that harm books.
They are defenders of dusty knowledge, loyal only to the archive. In battle, they prioritize silence and subdual, preserving the sanctity of scroll and page. Rarely lethal, always loud. These goblins will fit into any campaign with quests for knowledge, wondrous archives and deep secrets.
