Born from a soul’s unfulfilled wish near a well, the Well Beast is a grotesque blend of decaying flesh and murky water. Its upper body retains the remnants of its former self, while its lower half dissolves into the well’s dark water. Twisting the magic of the well, it seeks to claim the souls of those with intense desires, offering frivolous promises in exchange for their wishes.
With an inviting voice and subtle magic, the Well Beast lures creatures to its lair, seeking to know their greatest desires. Victims who fall under its control become mindless undead Well Wishers, their bodies altered by its dark water. When slain, the Well Beast’s lingering soul may grant one final wish—at great risk to the one who defeats it.
The Well Beast is a cunning, dangerous foe, perfect for any encounter centered on wishes, dark magic and twisted bargains.
