Animaxim are the dreadful heralds of Nim, the Faithless One. Born from the transfiguration of pascorim, an Animaxim embodies Nim's ultimate purpose executing their mission without mercy.
Wielding their presence like a weapon, Animaxim subvert the minds of mortals and drawing them into Nim’s thrall. Their twisted guardianship of their unwilling congregants makes them resilient foes; as long as even one worshipper remains entrapped in their devotion to Nim, the Animaxim cannot be truly destroyed. Wherever they tread, the fallen rise again as Garaphim, empty husks bound in lifeless, eternal service to the Faithless One. Through this grim cycle, an Animaxim tighten Nin's grip across the planes, sowing ruin in the name of a hollow faithless divinity.
For Dungeon Masters, the Animaxim is not your average brute. It is a catalyst for slow-burning corruption in a campaign. A single Animaxim can transform a struggling frontier village into a bleak theocracy, or haunt the ruins of a kingdom that once defied Nim. Combined with the rest of the congregation a campaign of danger and chaos can show your players what it means to confront false divinity. These fcreatures can present players with challenges playing into moral dilemmas. Do they risk destroying the creature at the cost of the lives of its entangled, innocent followers, or can they break Nim’s hold and sever the Animaxim’s sources of immortality? Its presence promises high-stakes encounters steeped in dread and the temptation of false salvation. Nim steals faith, the Animaxim twists it first.
