When a dunal dancer stirs civilizations collapse and disappear into the sands of time. These terrifying constructs are creations of necromantic madness and and misfiring magic that fuse the skeletal remains of desert serpents with the rubble of fallen cities. Their towering bodies spiral endlessly as they absorb bone, stone, and most tragically, magic.
A Dunal Dancer is a magical void given monstrous form. It doesn’t eat, sleep, or feel—it is compelled by the arcane breath that gave it life to devour. When roused by spellcraft, it rises from beneath the sands to unleash chaos, its very presence spawning quicksand, stone-twisters, and fields of antimagic.
Despite their devastation, their lairs become vaults of unexpected treasures— hoards of magic items the dancers cannot consume. To some, these deadly ruins are irresistible.
Dunal Dancers are excellent for high-level encounters, arcane mysteries, or as the magical disasters. They can act as backdrops for larger stories or as the centrepieces of whoel campaigns. This creature is a unique challenge for parties with ability consume magic, and put magical abilities in a difficult position. The Dunal Dancer offers DMs a unique magical predator that unmakes the world instead of conquering it.
