The savage and brutal remnants of forgotten tribes, Necrim are undead cursed by their own dark rituals. Originally meant to secure immortality, they instead live in undeath constantly commiting the same terrible acts to maintain their existence. As their rituals demand, the Necrim continue to be vicious cannibals bound to primitive tribal rites and blood-drenched rituals.
Worse still, they harbor wihtin them, Nesting Necrim feral side effect of their cursed undigested guts. These smaller undead burst from their torsos to continue the hunt.
If that's not enough, inside their vile spawn, are the Necrim Remnants, cursed fragments of bone and magic, that form into parasitic swarms capable of infecting new hosts and spreading the curse of the Necrim. When encountered, Necrim warbands fight in a coordinated fashion, following old tribal customs, attempting to capture victims alive to fuel future communal feasts.
The Necrim are perfect for horror-driven arcs, ancient ruin delves, or cursed forest hunts where the undead can act with chilling intelligence. Unleash them as a multi-stage enemy that evolves and changes your adventurer's tactics and priorities on the battle field.
