Desolate Dunes

This bundle includes 3 creatures that will alter the world around them, bringing the dangers of the wastelands to any adventure. Also included is 1 specialized armor ideal for traversing earthen terrain. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer or a newcomer to the world of tabletop and VTT, this pack will add to your arsenal of dangerous encounters and lucrative rewards for your campaigns.

This pack contains:

• Cacteri: A golem-like creature with an organic core. It builds a form consisting of revitalized plant matter and wanders the desert landscapes in hopes of finding material to repair itself. These lumbering constructs roam the barren landscapes looking for targets for protecting themselves while also acting as errant guides for wayward travelers.

• Kakaika: Swimming beneath the sands, this monstrosity flings its foes into the air and awaits their impending demise. The kakaika have become both feared predators of the sands as well as cultural icons for the tribes that live around them. Their unique ability to launch anything on the sandy surface upwards have caused many to make rites of passage, games, and events out of their presence.

• Dunal Dancer: These calamitous beings that bring ruin to civilizations when they appear. The dunal dancers, birthed from a mixture of necromancy and forbidden magic, seek out sources of arcane energy to endlessly consume and fill the void within them. Their ability to pull stone from their surroundings causes destruction without discretion. The lairs where they rest are devoid of life and magic, save for enchanted weapons and artifacts which they cannot feed on. It is the thought of plundering these treasures that draws adventurers to these forsaken hells in the hearts of the dunal dancers artificial deserts.

• Herkess, the Ash Eater: A malicious and sadistic creature borne of ash and tragedy. When present, Herkess changes the weather around it, drying the air and exuding a feeling of impending doom. Beware those that have encountered Herkess as they carry a cursed mark, unknowingly acting on his evil will, spreading cruel flames to feed his destructive nature.

• Sandswimmer Skin: An armor crafted from the hide of desert dwelling creatures. The light yet sturdy material allows the wearer to stay safe in the harsh desert climate without feeling burdened. As an additional effect, those that don this magical armor gain the ability to burrow beneath the earth and sands as though they are swimming.
