A being of shadowy and mysterious intellect, Stravagax is an architect of invisible mazes. It is the creator of prisons and within them orchestrator of mortal conflict. It appears in the mortal planes in a indiscernable form, as a smiling silhouette with eyes twinkling like dying stars, holding a trinket that spins endlessly between its fingers. It delights not in destruction, but in the unfolding stories of those who dare to enter its unseen designs.
Stravagax is a perfect centrepiece for mystery or puzzle-driven adventures. Its abilities allows for the creation of dynamic, shifting arenas that test players’ decision-making, teamwork, and problem-solving rather than raw combat power. Encounters with Stravagax can be tense and cerebral. Known for introducing and entraping other creatures for adventurers to face off against in its mazes, it will force players to adapt to changing paths, invisible walls, and moral choices shaped by its manipulations.
Introduce Stravagax as a background presence long before it’s seen. Share tales from lost travellers, distorted maps, and “haunted” ruins as breadcrumbs leading to its labyrinthine domains.
